A Hawaiian Virtual Classroom Experience Issue 1: Article 2 The teaching profession (as we knew it) is changing on a daily basis. Schools across the United States are seeking new opportunities to seamlessly connect parents to school. Duncan-Howell (2010) concluded that online communities presented a worthwhile form of professional learning for teachers and parents. An example exists, in what is referred to as a "Bitmoji Classroom", where teachers can create fun and engaging classroom spaces online.      The Bitmoji Classroom consists of a combination of Google Slides and a Bitmoji avatar on a presentation slide. This tool offers multiple benefits to teachers and parents, as well as a visually-connecting classroom for students.  Teachers can share a link to the virtual classroom with parents and easily update agendas, post virtual field-trips, etc. Students can also collaborate online with each other by clicking links to programs such as Quizlet, Class Dojo, Pear Deck,...
